FROM SIXTY TO ZERO.
One month ago today, the snap of an Achilles hit the brakes on my life. However, I need to remind myself that although my leg may be in disrepair, my heart still works just fine, and maybe it's time for me to think about other people more.

MY TORN ACHILLES.
Three weeks ago, I tore my right Achilles tendon. As a result, I won't be able to stand, walk, or play shows for at least three months.
In the meantime, it's easy to get discouraged. I need to do a better job of taking my own lyrics to heart.

PLAY FAIR, PANDORA.
Pandora. Yeah, my music is on there. However, the company, which controls close to 70% of the U.S. streaming market, refuses to pay fair value to license the hard work of songwriters such as myself and is now taking songwriters to court to pay even less. Almost every year, Pandora's founder pays himself more than all Pandora artists combined, and the company's revenue is soaring.
If Pandora wins this legal battle, the outcome will have a lasting effect on the value of songs in the online music streaming marketplace, threatening the livelihoods of thousands of songwriters and composers. What can you do? Sign ASCAP's petition by clicking here.

DRUM ROLL, PLEASE...
It's July 24. I'll be announcing my latest venture in a matter of days. I haven't been this excited about anything in quite some time. Drum roll, please...
This week, I'll be playing in America's Heartland.
Monday, I'm in Houston; Tuesday, Tulsa; Thursday, Rogers,AR; Friday, Menomonee Falls, WI; Saturday, Milwaukee; and Sunday, Madison.
One thing I plan on figuring out is why the Midwest is nicknamed the Heartland. It isn't heart-shaped; it may be located close to the center of the country, yet the heart isn't located at the center of the body. The Heartland doesn't pump blood, and you definitely can't get a Heartland transplant.
In any case, I'm excited about these shows! For all the details, visit the TOUR page of my website.
It's Texas O'Clock.
Ready or not, Lone Star State, here I come.

For more details, visit the TOUR page of my website or the Events tab on my Facebook page. See y'all soon!

Seeing you at a show makes all the crazy drives, flights and sleepless nights worthwhile!

THE CHAPTER & VERSE TOUR. COMINATCHA.
On April 18, my brand-new album, Tip Of The Iceberg, officially drops on iTunes, Amazon, and everywhere in between. That morning, I'll be hitting the road, kicking off a 5-week US tour in promotion of the album and my first book, Of Bombs And Blackberries. I'll be touring solo, playing guitar and sometimes electronic instruments, sharing some crazy and poignant stories, and reading select chapters out of my book.
I've put a ton of heart and soul into my album and book, and into this tour. For a comprehensive tour schedule, visit the TOUR page of my website. Can't wait to see you at a show!
